12:19 am - Can't remember title Hello movie buffs! I've been stumped for DAYS now. About 6 years ago or so, I saw a movie and I can't remember the title. But maybe some of you know which movie it is by the description.
I'd classify it as a good B-list movie, almost a cult film. But the basic background of the movie revolved about these troubled teens who end up in some sort of juvi reform camp. And some crazy stuff happens during their stay. Some of the more memorable events is a little 10 year old who thinks she can fly...so she jumps off of a tower and dies. Another is a girl who gets gang raped in a dirty bathroom, and her friends stage the rape again so they can beat the guys who hurt her.
The narrator is one of the kids in the film, and in the end of the movie, he gives us (What I think is) the last line, which is "I'm a compulsive liar."
Does anyone have any idea what the title of this movie is? I'm so close to going to Holly Wood video and seeing if they have record of what I rented 6 years ago.

06:14 pm - Yay for SMOOSHY yarns!
Here are some of my new smooshy fluffy soft yarns. The pictures are kind of bad quality. I'm looking for either a new camera or someone to take pictures for me. :(

01:34 pm - Yippee Yay! So I entered a contest for Copperpot Woolie's birthday party on Etsy. The first prize was a new spinning wheel, which I didn't win. :( But i DID win 5 of Copperpot's 4 oz custom blend rovings. That is 20 ounces, which is a $50 value in the store. Yay.
I also went to a spin-in yesterday! I was only there for about an hour, but it was FUN. I got to meet several spinners in the Baltimore area, and even got to try out a few wheels! I tried the Ashford Traditional and Traveller, and I found that I REALLY liked the traditional. So that is what I am officially in the market for. I really liked Gryphon. I bought some fiber from her shop and played with her daughter for a while, which was fun. What a cutie. I'm planning on going to the next spin-in, which I believe is on December 9th. I won't have a wheel by then, but I can borrow a wheel from Gryphon until I have one. And I will have one by the January spin-in.
So I have a huge pile of fiber at home that is waiting for me to have a wheel.

11:13 am - Eee ::Crosses fingers for the wheel deal to go through::
In other news, I've found a WONDERFUL pattern to make the best finger-less gloves. They are super quick to make, but uses a size D crochet hook, so the stitches are kind of small. I made a pair for myself several months ago, but just recently found some self striping yarn on sale and bulked up on that. So, a few pairs of those will be on my site as well. I just love self striping yarn. It's the neatest thing. Something awesome is the soy self striping yarn. I love that stuff. I wish it weren't so darned expensive.

03:43 pm - Updated post STILL without the internet at home. Quite a bummer. But I've found that without cable/internet, I've really had a chance to focus on spinning.
Last night I completed a project that I am quite proud of. Introducing, Mermaid Shimmer handspun yarn. The yarn is a beautiful sea-blue color, like the sky on a gorgeous day, plyed with a medium blue size 10 crocheting thread. On the thread, I have several blue sequence and several REAL freshwater pearls. Everything is all plyed together to form what reminds me of a shimmering mermaid tail. 2.1 ounces of fiber, and about 80 yards of yarn. It's thin in some places, and thick in others, but generally pretty consistent. Pictures to follow soon! This yarn will go on Etsy for probably around $20.
Tonight I'm going to finish the agate blue super soft yarn. About 8 ounces and probably somewhere around 200-250 yards of yarn. Generally a nice medium sized yarn, thicker than sock weight, but not really chunky.
NEXT to come, is a beautiful ruby-red super thick in some places, and thin in others, plyed with the same medium blue thread for a wonderful texture. 3.6 super soft and squishy ounces.

04:23 pm - Looking forward to a Spintastic evening I look forward to a spintastic night! I'm at work right now, but can't wait to get home around 9 to start some new projects. I have some older singles that I am going to experiment with! They will be plyed with thread, and I'm going to finish spinning the 1/2 pound of super soft "Agate Blue" colonial wool top. So far I have about half of it spun up. Since I'm still wheel-less, I'm spinning on a spindle, which is FUN but it takes forever to spin up stuff. So I'm in the market for wheels. But for now, I'm doing the 8 ounce balls of yarn in 4 batches of 2 ounce each. It's easier to handle on my spindle.
I'm still also without internet at my place. So all of this updating is happening at work, and the Etsy posting is going to happen at home. I NEED the internet like I NEED fiber. For now, my emails are being checked via my wonderful Blackberry 8820 from AT&T. I'm surviving without a computer right now, but I can't survive without my BB.
Check back soon! -A
